Tiero Brach

Tiero Brach is the Protector from the Realm of Earth. He is twenty-five and is the Hunter of the group. He is a childhood friend of Raya's who eventually grows to love her. He is caring, kind, intelligent, strong and quiet. He has control over the Earth element. He is able to make small remedies and medicines from the plants he grows. He is an excellent hunter with keen sight and is the powerhouse of the group.

Fiona Lynn

Fiona Lynn is the Protector from the Realm of Fire. She is the youngest of the group at sixteen and is the Navigator of the group. She was chosen for her drive and persistence. She is spoiled, careless, blunt, quick, and vicious. She is tolerated for her knowledge of random facts, and her dedication and loyalty to her comrades. She has control over the Fire element. She has a fast metabolism and is a durable, yet careless fighter.

Nila Marina

Nila Marina is the Protector from the Realm of Water. She is the oldest of the group at twenty-eight, and is the Healer of the group. She takes care of many orphaned children, and is seen by many as the perfect motherly figure. She is smart, graceful, protective, and head strong. She has control over the Water element, and is able to breathe underwater. She is always prepared with a vial of water from The Fountain of Youth to heal her comrades' wounds.

Aeros Valiant

Aeros Valiant is the Protector from the Realm of Wind. He is twenty- seven, and is the Messenger of the group. He attends to the large wind energy fans in his region that give power to the other regions of the land. He is lighthearted, cool headed, chivalrous, and a sporadic genius. He has control over the Wind element, and can send his messages over long distances. He has sharp hearing from very far distances. He comes to fall in love with Nila over the course of the journey.
